...April 4, 1955 – May 22, 2020…
Gwendolyn A King, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend of Toledo, OH, departed this life for Heaven at the age of 65 on Friday, May 22, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital – Maumee OH.
Born on Monday, April 4, 1955 in Toledo, OH, Gwen is preceded in death by her parents Osie A. King Jr. and Connie B. King. She grew up in Toledo and graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School and earned an Associate degree at UT.
She gave her heart and life to The Lord Jesus at an early age and continued to live and learn through the expected and unexpected challenges life can bring. With her God gifts; she shared herself as she loved her family, friends and others. She was a member of St. James COGIC for years until July 27, 2003 when she became a member of Grace Temple COGIC.
Even after being in a car accident that broke her foot, she continued to do what she could by working hard in various jobs and church activities and supporting those that could do more.
While being taken care of because of her health as a resident of Heatherdown's Rehab & Residential Care Facility, it did not stop her from being an inspiration to others. She loved to play cards and participate in the daily activities and share what she had learned throughout the years. She will continue to be missed and loved by her family and friends and well-wishers.
Gwen leaves to continue to celebrate her life her beloved daughter and son Lena & DeShun.
