Gussie Lee Robinson

Gussie Lee (Colbert) Robinson born January 8, 1932, passed this life in the comforts of her home surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Gussie was employed and retired from the Lucas County Department of Jobs and Family Services after assisting others for over three decades. With her free time she was an avid gardener. Gussie was a faithful member of St. James Holiness Church of God in Christ under the direction of the late Bishop William James, Sr. and Dr. William James, Jr.

Gussie was preceded in death by her Husband, Floyd (Ned) Lee Robinson, Sr. Daughter, Latonya (Pam) Guzell; Parents, Arie and JC Richard Colbert; Brothers, Jack Colbert Sr. and Harold Colbert Sr., and Sisters, Callie Elam, Veronica Webb and Maude Boyd. Gussie is survived by her loving children, Nedra Kai Robinson and Floyd (Ned) Lee Robinson (Bay), Jr.; Special Daughter, Marva Ramsey; Brother, Edward (Dorothy) Colbert Sr.; Sisters; Bessie Riley, Vera (Willie) Garmon, Pearl Furr, Bernice Motley and Betty Jean Darrington, Grand-Children; Michael Allen, Krystal Lee, Nina Nicole, Keith and Great-Grandson.

Visitation on Monday from 3-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419) 381-1900. Services on Tuesday at St. James Holiness Church of God in Christ, 3319 Nebraska Ave. at 11:00 a.m. Dr. James officiating.
