Gretchen Ann Bartlett

Gretchen Ann Bartlett, age 79, resident of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away on October 30, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice. Gretchen was born on February 1, 1943, in Port Townsend, Washington, to the late Glendon and Evelyn (Smiggen) Lunt.

Gretchen had previously worked at The Toledo Hospital, in their payroll department, where she retired after 30 dedicated years. She enjoyed tending to her garden, feeding the squireels that came into her yard, cooking and baking, which her family loved her delicious pies. Gretchen was a woman of faith, a loving mother, and grandmother. Family was most important in her eyes. She loved the moments spent with her granddaughter; ones that Ashley will remember forever. Gretchens love, smile, and caring heart will forever be missed by all of those who knew her. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her son, Matthew (Kathryn) Bartlett; and granddaughter, Ashley Bartlett.

In addition to her parents, Gretchen was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by her brother, George Jeffery Lunt.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 3:00 pm until the time of her service at 4:00 pm, with Fr. Auth officiating. Private family burial will take place at Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Kewadin, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society or Lucas County Humane Society.
