Gregory "Greg" Mys

Gregory J. "Greg" Mys, age 62, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Sunday, June 3, 2012 , at home where he was surrounded by his family. He was born May 13, 1950 to Peter and Eva (Melnyk) Mys in St. Louis, Missouri. Greg proudly served his country in the U.S.Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict and was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage. He retired from PowerTrain after 39 ½ years of service. In his spare time, Greg could be found fishing; he spent many days on his boat on Lake Erie. He also enjoyed hunting and his family will remember him as an avid outdoorsman who had quick wit and a dry sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, DeLynn; daughter, Carly (Eric Cline) Mys; step-sons, Travis (Becky) Baldwin and Jordan (Kaitlyn) Baldwin; sisters, Mary Armstrong, Christine (Robert) Whiting and Patricia (Larry McCulloch) Parrish-McCulloch; nieces and nephews, Ashley,Nicole, Fred and Christopher and many very special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Service will begin in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m.
