Gregory S. Funk

Gregory S. "Greg" Funk, age 61, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at ProMedica Heartland of Perrysburg. He was born on March 26, 1960 to Richard and Dolores Funk in Toledo. Greg attended St. Hedwig and DeVilbiss High School. He loved being on the water, fishing and boating with his dad "Pops" who was his best friend. Greg enjoyed family and friend get-togethers and cooking out. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Mosakowski. Greg is survived by his loving brothers, Mark (Julie) Funk and Mike (Nicole) Funk; brother-in-law, Joe Mosakowski; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Brock), Eric (Tracy), Kim (Travis), Kyle (Katie), Courtnie, Scott, and Kathryn; great-nieces and nephews, Ryleigh, Ella, Aubrey, Alayna, Myles, Emily, Jayden, Hunter, Kole, Hailey, Jacob and Evan; and many dear friends.

There will be no visitation or services honoring Greg's wishes. The Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
