Gregory L. "Red" Cummings, age 59 of Toledo, passed away Friday, April 23rd, 2010 at The Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3rd, 1951 to Kenneth and Sarah (Holtre) Cummings in Roxbury, Pennsylvania. Red was a diligent worker, always working hard and providing for his family. He worked at Chrysler for over 20 years as a team leader in the body shop. Red loved to fish, work on cars and he was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need. His family will cherish memories of past-Sunday's as, "family day," where Red spent the entire day with his loving family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Red is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen (Seal) Cummings; children, Amy Hall, Becky (Don) Hollstein and Jason Cummings; grandchildren, Cheyenne Cummings, Amber Hall, D.J. and Danielle Hollstein; great-grandson, Gavin Williford; three sisters, Delaine (Vern) Nitchkey, Judy (Jim) Batsol, Brenda (Bill) Mosser and brother, Kyler Cummings.
The family will receive guests, Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
