Grace Suhrbier

Grace "Elaine" Suhrbier, age 78, of Ida, Michigan, formerly of Bedford, passed away Friday, March 10th, 2006 in her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born September 3rd, 1927 to Ralph V. and Dorothy L. (Fairbanks) Mull in Toledo, Ohio. Elaine was employed with the Toledo Hospital for 20 years in the billing department. She was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church. Elaine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, George E. Suhrbier and brothers, James and Howard Mull. Elaine is survived by her sons, James (Diane) Suhrbier of Abingdon, VA and Michael Suhrbier of Ida, MI; daughters, Pamela (Tom) Ostermyer of Temperance, MI and Carol (Jack) Cadaret of Ida, MI; sisters, Alice Bourquin of Sylvania, OH and Marilyn Kading of Millbrock, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer; Lynette; Stephanie; Jamie; Craig; Beth; Angelia; Michael; Rick and Amanda; great grandchildren, Kirstin; Megan; Hunter; Tyler; Justine; Jerry Lee; Elizabeth; Sheyann, Miranda; McKena; Maximum; Emily; Hunter; Austin; Ellie and Cassie.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Gibbs.

A special thank you to caregiver and close family friend, Kathy Buckenmyer, for the loving care and support she gave to Elaine and her family.
