Grace June Silvasi, age 90, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away Friday, February 19th, 2021 at Lakes of Sylvania. She was born June 10th, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Esther (Belman) Auer.
Grace lived much of her younger years in Toledo before moving to Northern Indiana where she met and married Steve Blaskovich. Together they built their home and raised their 2 sons. Grace and Steve were heartbroken when they lost both of their sons when they were very young men. The couple continued living in Indiana until Steve's passing many years later. Grace decided to move to Florida sometime after that and it was there that she met and married Frank Silvasi. Grace and Frank lived in Florida for several years until deciding to move back to Toledo so Grace could be closer to family.
Grace was a caring and loving person. Though she experienced so much loss in her lifetime Grace continued to share a warm smile and kind words with everyone she had the pleasure to know. Her quiet sense of humor and the enjoyment she felt seeing others smile is what helped her continue to find happiness.
In addition to her parents, Grace was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Steve Blaskovich and 2nd husband, Frank Silvasi; her loving sons, Steve and Kenny Blaskovich; sister, Ardis Crockett and brother, Billy Auer. Left to cherish Grace's memory is her sister, Betty (Charles) Smith and several extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500).
