Grace C. Wilson-Smith (Brown), age 80, passed away on June 30, 2014. She was born on May 22, 1934 to the late Mattie and Gus Wilson in Maryville, Tennessee.
Grace was a very active member of Oregon Senior Center and Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Oregon, Ohio. She enjoyed playing Bunko and Bingo at the Senior Center. Grace was always working on word puzzles. She also liked playing card games and die games. Grace loved spending time with her family and friends, especially picnics at Sidecut Park. She talked daily on the phone with her family and friends, checking to see how they were doing and to tell them that she loved them.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husbands, Rolland "Rollie" Brown and Maynard Smith; sons, Rolland Brown Jr. and Samuel Brown; great-grandson, Joshua Dayton Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary Brown and nine brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda (Tom) Mulligan, Grace "Sandy" (Jim) Williams, Chuck Brown and Cleo (Chris) Koback; two brothers; one sister and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends.
There will be a memorial gathering at Sidecut Park on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 2-6:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be Monday, July 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. For those wishing to join the family are invited to meet at the front gates of the cemetery off of Central Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Family to assist with final resting expenses.
