Glorya Bernath

Glorya K. "Grammy Glo" Bernath, age 71, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away unexpectantly, on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. She was born to Leo and Mary (Sayers) Richard on June 23, 1938 in Timmins, Ontario. Grammy Glo will be remembered as a loving wife and supportive mother, and a doting grandmother. The extraordinary and special love that Frank and Glorya shared for 42 years, will always be cherished by everyone. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and she made it known to them how special they were to her. She spent many hours watching her grandchildren excel in playing hockey and figure skating. Grammy Glo had a special name for every one of her grandchildren that they will forever remember. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing many memories at her lake home. As a child she enjoyed figure skating and watching her father play hockey. Glorya was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother, loving husband of 42 years, Frank Bernath; children, Ronald (Judy) King, Kathlyn (Eric) Weber, Denise (Paul) Michael, Frank (Jacki) Bernath, Bryan (Jennifer) Bernath; grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Skidmore, Zachary King, Andrea (Jason) Welch, Christopher Weber, Alexandra Weber, Devin Michael, Justin Rea, Haley Bernath, Bobby Bernath, Brendan Bernath, Brady Bernath, Danielle Bunde; four great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Micha, Leah, Andrew; brother, Bryan (Sharon) Richard; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is her father.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300), with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, Ohio.

Officiating will be Fr. Michael Brown. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
