In the early 1950's, she worked in the office of AFL-CIO. From the 1960's until her parents' deaths, she ran their household as well as her own. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Staszak; her parents and her brother, Ronald Zaborowski. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Linda Karazim (Thomas); her grandson, Todd A. Karazim, Esq. (Amanda) and great-grandchildren, Brady, Kenzley, Jackson and Beckett, and her sister-in-law, Judy Zaborowski.
I was told that when a person has dementia, you lose her a little bit everyday. That's not exactly our situation. Some days she was Mom, then many days she faded; then, Mom was back, briefly. I don't know which was worse. I do know that the hurt, pain, sadness is everyday and it just doesn't stop, not even now. I know I will keep one ear listening to see if she needs me in the middle of the night, always. I love you, Mom. Everyday, I missed you a little more. Now, I will miss you forever.
Private family viewing and Funeral Mass were held for Gloria. Gloria was laid to rest next to her husband, Theodore at Calvary Cemetery.
