Gloria (Dracz) Macke

Gloria (Dracz) Macke, age 90, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. She was born on March 8, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Earl and Mildred (Knierim) Ruff.

Gloria graduated from Woodward High School. She worked for many years at Hefco, where she made custom made draperies. A devout Catholic, she was a member at St. Clement Catholic Church, in Toledo, for over 50 years. While there, she worked many funeral luncheons and other church functions. Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother; she was always making something delicious in the kitchen, from her baked beans to her yummy lemon pies, everyone looked forward to what she cooked up. She especially loved cooking for Easter and Christmas. Gloria loved her family and the moments spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She loved doing family get-togethers, especially sitting around and catching up around bonfires. With her love for her family, we can't forget her special love for the dogs in her life, especially Willy. Gloria's wonderful sense of humor, smile, laugh, and quick wit will forever be missed by all she knew. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, David (Jo Ann) Dracz, Linda (Fred) Bartnikowski, and Sharon (Rich) Miller; seven grandchildren, Bryan (Roberta), Jason (Brittany), Tina (Tony), Traci (Paul), Kari (Kim), Todd (Lisa), and Corey (Sarah); ten great grandchildren, Autumn, Brittany, Conner, Hayley, Nathan, Judson, Logan, Makayla, Blake, and Landon; step-children whom they loved like a mother, Andrea, Janis (Gary), Frank (Marianne), Bill (Debbie), Guy, and Peggy (Dave); eight step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Ditto; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Dracz; second husband, Andy Macke; and two brothers, Bob (Bonnie) and Don (Jean) Ruff.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, September 25, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass for Gloria will take place on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 10:00 am, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio 43613, with Fr. Speier officiating. Gloria will be laid to rest, with her loved ones, at a later date, at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
