Gloria C. Mowka

Gloria C. Mowka, age 85, of Concord, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Mentor Way Nursing Home. She was born on July 14, 1927 to Frank and Mary (LaFroscia) Rapoza in Brooklyn, New York. Gloria enjoyed crocheting and being outdoors, often enjoying walking in the park. She was always very dedicated and loyal to her family. Gloria loved nothing more than spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund J. Mowka; and 8 brothers and sisters. Gloria is survived by her loving sons, Edmund, Jr. (Linda) and Douglas Mowka; grandchildren, Tracy (Corey) Graham, Brian (Julie) Mowka and Shobha (Tim) Garrett; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Hayden and Kyle; sister, Diana Gelson; and brother, Robert Rapoza.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Andy Hill. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
