Gloria Ann Bauman, age 75, resident of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Genacross Lutheran Home, just shy of her 76th birthday. She was born on June 11, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late, Victor and Celia (Poturalski) Sekulski.
In the earlier years, Gloria was a stay at home mom, taking care of her family. She had worked at Woolworths for 17 years, Value City Store, and most recently, Children's Discover Center. She enjoyed crocheting, attending bingo, playing bunco and traveling with her sister-in-laws. She obtained her amateur radio operator license with her husband. Gloria's most memorable time was her trip to South Africa, with her family, meeting many that they talked to on the amateur radio. Gloria loved and enjoyed her grand dogs, Tanner, Leroy, Princess, and Flip. Most of all, family was very important to her; she will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory is her daughter, Theresa (Tim) Grimes; brother-in-law, Ray (Sharon) Bauman; sister-in-laws, Mary Cook, Hollie Dreier, Janet (Harold) Wolff, and Marian Sekulski; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Terry Bauman, whom she married on June 26, 1965, at St. Hyacinth Church; her baby boy, Terry Jr.; brother, Jim Sekulski; a sister-in-law, Jean Ann Montgomery; and a brother-in-law, Larry Dreier.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
