Glen C. Brandt

January 3, 1943 — September 26, 2021

Glen Clausen Brandt, 78, a lifelong resident of Toledo, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021 at the Manor of Perrysburg. Glen was the devoted husband of Kristeen Woodyard Brandt for twenty years prior to her death in 2020. He was the loving father of Glen Robert (Kelly) Brandt of Perrysburg. He is also survived by his younger brother, Brian, of Glencoe, Illinois.

Glen was a 1961 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. Following his active duty in the Ohio National Guard, Glen opened his own barber shop on Lewis Avenue in Toledo. Having moved to two other locations in West Toledo, he remained a popular provider of tonsorial services and friendly conversation for over fifty years.

Glen's passions included fishing and horse racing. He once traveled as far as the Columbia River in Washington State to catch sturgeon. He also bred and raised thoroughbred race horses, one of which raced and won at Thistledown Race Track in Cleveland in 2001.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Glen's memory can be made to the Parkinson Foundation in Columbus, Ohio.
