Gladys L. Matlock

Gladys L. Matlock, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Flower Hospital. She was born on May 27, 1923 to David and Jamie Lester in Kentucky. Gladys was a cook in various restaurants. She loved flowers, gardening and being outside in her yard. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gladys is survived by her loving daughters, Lorraine (Dominic) Stang, Judy (Butch) Rhoades, Jeannette Love, Mildred Fraley and Elizabeth (Lenny) Drouillard; sister, Beulah Burns; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, James Howard Matlock, sons, Vincent and Rosco Matlock and granddaughter, Connie Sue Stang.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
