Geraldine M. Van Wormer

Geraldine M. Van Wormer, age 91, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born on October 28, 1928 to Fletcher and Irene (Wagner) Hall in Toledo. Geraldine enjoyed doing puzzles, word searches, and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine's smile and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Van Wormer; son, Burton Van Wormer; and siblings, Iona, Betty, Alta, Phyllis, Richard, and Fletcher. Geraldine is survived by her loving daughters, Brenda (Norman) Gray and Laura Van Wormer; grandchildren, Kindle and Brian (Kortney) Van Wormer; and Stephanie Gray and Jennifer (Brian) Gray-Catera; great-grandchildren, Madison, Luca, Brylee, Bryben, Bryclynn and one on the way; siblings, Irene Miller, Carol Carter, Elaine Swartz, Donald Hall and Henry Hall; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
