Geraldine Thomas

Geraldine M. "Gerry" Thomas, age 72, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Friday, October 19, 2007 in her daughter's home. She was born on October 24, 1934 to Laurence and Edith (Waterman) Rawson in Toledo. Gerry was a longtime member of Shelton Park Baptist Church where she was also the organist for some time. She was also a member of the Maumee Valley Quilting Guild which was her very favorite past time. Gerry was incredible at crafting, and often enjoyed sewing, gardening, ceramics and painting as well. She loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Heinrich Thomas and brother-in-law, Constantin Olligschlager.
Geraldine is survived by her children: Larry Hall, Mike (Kathy) Hall, Lisa (P.J.) Jones and Heinrich "Joe" (Cynthia Storm) Thomas; grandchildren: Lyndsay, Joshua, Jamie, Amber, Justin and Alex; 2 great granddaughters; brother: Dave Rawson; sister: Alma Shuster; sisters-in-law: Gertrude Olligschlager and Lisa (Karl) Kortgoede; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor John Paschen. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
