Geraldine Rowe-Gearheart

Geraldine Rowe-Gearheart, 74, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on December 11th, 1937 to the late Dan and Bertha Gearheart in Ashland, KY.

Geraldine had a passion for the outdoors; she especially enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was a great southern cook and always loved family get-togethers. Geraldine looked forward to her weekly visits to the salon where her daughter works. She loved visiting with the employees and customers. After owning her own salon for six years, Geraldine worked at Brondes where she retired from Accounts Payable. She also liked to spend time at Goodwill Spiritualist Church.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her brother, Woodson Gearheart. Left to cherish her memory is her life-long companion, John A. Rowe, Sr.; children, Tamre' (Bill) Edgar, John A. Rowe, Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas Czaja, Sara (Jason) Freudenberg, Adam (Abby) Czaja, Adam (Angel) Edgar, Chelsea Rowe; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Keegan, Danica, Travis, Hailey, Baby Boy Jaxton (due mid-February).

The family will receive guests on Friday from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial at Toledo Memorial Park.
