Geraldine Mae Freeman

Geraldine Mae Freeman (Borer), age 77 passed away April 9, 2023, at Lakewood Ranch Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born September 19, 1945 to Margaret and Myron "Joe" Borer in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated Springfield High School in 1963 and married Robert Freeman September 28, 1963.
Gerry was an active member of Mayfair Plymouth church in Toledo for many years and more recently, Parrish United Methodist church in Florida. She enjoyed great success in her life running her own business with Home Interior and Gifts where she won many awards and accolades. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, interior decorating, crafting and spending time with family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Freeman; daughter Tamara Ross (Tracy); son Rob Freeman (Tanya); grandchildren Shayna Lohbauer, Shaun Lohbauer, Jared Freeman, Nathan Freeman; sisters Rose Yantis, Bonnie Borer, Susan White; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Margaret and Joe Borer; Sister Patricia Webster; Brother Robert Borer and nephew Robert Borer, Jr.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Geraldine's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rupert Loyd Jr. officiating. Geraldine will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
