Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Tiller (Deceased 12:21 PM on 12.21.2018—fitting for his trade)
Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Tiller lived life loud, and that joy now echoes through the heavens. His family, friends at Lake Diane, Heritage Church of God (Maumee), and work will miss him dearly, and will always continue his legacy of laughter. He lived a full life, even during his battle with cancer, constantly with family and friends, until passing on December 21 at a very young age of 63.
Jerry was born in Toledo, and is survived by two siblings--his twin brother, Michael (Carrie) Tiller in Lambertville, and sister, Sherri (& Kenneth) White in Toledo. He is also survived by his wife of 44 years, Cyndi (Jans) Tiller, married as high school sweethearts. They served as great examples to all of us of a couple deeply in love and devoted to their family. His father also survives, Edwin (Rose) Tiller, also his neighbor for nearly two decades in Temperance where Ed and Rose remain.
Also surviving are the sources of countless wonderful memories, his three children: Jennifer (Derek) Peer in Sylvania; Christopher (Nicole) Tiller in Jonesville, and; Jessica (Christopher) Thompson in Lambertville. His seven grandchildren brought him constant joy: Kaeli, Taylor, and Kirsten Peer; Jayden & Riley Tiller, and; Tara & Tyler Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother, David, younger half-brother, Alvin, and his mother and stepfather, Sally (Gagnet) and Alvin Jones.
Visitation is Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., and the funeral is Monday, December 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., both at Heritage Church of God, 3520 Strayer Road, Maumee, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, Jerry and Cyndi would suggest all donations to go to "The Jerry Tiller Missions Fund" at the same church and address. They also greatly appreciate the ministry of Pastor Robert Fry and his staff. The family is also proud of the wonderful corporation he built in Morencie, Michigan, Tiller Tool & Die (Versicut), continuing on as a 35 year family tradition.
