Gerald R. Hill

Minister Gerald John Hill was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Elroy Hill & Thelma Green Hill, on October 26, 1943. Gerald was the grandson of Mable Hill who was a caterer of social functions in Toledo. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and best friend and brother-in-law Edward Atkins. He ended his earthly journey on August 14, 2010.

He attended Toledo public schools Gunkel & Robinson. He relocated to Evanston, Illinois as a young child with his family where he completed his education. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Medic and member of the 101 Airborne Divisions. Gerald retired from the United States Postal Service after thirty two years of service. He relocated back to Toledo and was a faithful member of Bibleway Church.

He was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He devoted himself to his family, enjoyed spending time at museums, parks, and enjoyed nature. He was a caring and loving son, husband and father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Rosalind Hill of twenty one years.

Musical service will be held on Friday August 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. and the Funeral on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Bibleway Church at 2335 Collingwood Boulevard Toledo, OH 43620 ( 419-246-9357).
