Gerald Powlesland

Gerald H. Powlesland, age 76, of Toledo passed away, Sunday, December 4th, 2005 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born May 12, 1929 to Harold and Sarah Powlesland in Indiana. Gerald was a self-employed Carpenter and Remodeler and also worked with Newport Royal for many years. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher enjoying spending time in his gardens.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Virginia; son, David; grandson, Adam and brother, Bob. Gerald is survived by his son, Daniel A. (Carol) Powlesland and daughter, Ruth Powlesland; grandchildren, Sarah; Jessica; Jamie (Christina) and Chris (Krissy); great grandchildren, Austin; Collin and Franki; brother, Donald Powlesland and sister, Shirley (Ray) Mockstrum.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Crydaman. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Crossroads Church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
