Gerald "Jerry" D. Reynolds, age 70, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 1st, 2012 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born March 19th, 1941 to Gilbert and Evelyn (Glockner) Reynolds in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jerry was employed in the Automotive Industry for more than 32 years. He began his career in Kenosha, Wisconsin with AMC, as a Member of the UAW and continued to work his way up to a Senior Management position with Chrysler Corp. After several years in Wisconsin, Jerry then moved to Toledo, working with Toledo Jeep, then to Canada where he retired. He then moved to New Mexico and began working with Motor Coach as Plant Manager. Another move to New York, continuing with Motor Coach, Jerry retired for the second time to Phoenix, Arizona. Retirement wasn't in the cards for Jerry, he was called again by Motor Coach and asked to come back to work in North Dakota. After several years, Jerry decided it was time to fully retire and spend more time with his family, so he moved back to Phoenix and finally Toledo. A true outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Being a devoted family-man, Jerry treasured spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and his great granddaughter. Jerry was also known to enjoy a good game of Cribbage and Poker.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Imelda "Maya" (Uribe) Reynolds; children, Renee (Ed Zalecki) Pickerign, Scott (Jill) Reynolds, Kelly Haney, Michael (Beth) Reynolds and Tracy (Mark Brubaker) Reynolds; grandchildren, Reanna, Alexandra and Scott Pickerign; Stacey and Samantha Reynolds; Pamela (Joel) Ankenbrandt, Tyler and Dylan Ware and Cassandra and Michael Reynolds; great granddaughter, Allison Ankenbrandt and siblings, James, Richard, Robert, Tom and Sue.
The Family will celebrate Jerry's Life in a Private Service at Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-381-1900).
