Gerald A. "Sneaky Pete" Davis, age 70, of Sylvania, passed away at Ebeid Hospice on Friday, April 8, 2016 where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 29, 1945 to Louis and Marie (Parks) Davis in Toledo. For over 30 years Gerald was an over-the-road CDL driver. His family will remember their father for his great sense of humor and his quick whit. Gerald was a member of Assembly of Christians in Lambertville where he enjoyed the services and fellowship with Pastor Greg. He enjoyed visiting Kroger on King and Sylvania Ave. and "Cafe Maries." Gerald enjoyed the companionship that he shared with his dog, Pete, he would walk her any chance that he could. In his spare time he liked to listen to Jackie Wilson, MoTown and various blues artists and musicians.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Carmen Davis, Dawn (Corey) Davis, Julie (Troy) Jackson and Carl (Victoria ) Davis; grandchildren, Rashawn, Raheem, Asia and Alexis; Mykal, Brysen, Avery and Kingston; Kieara and Rashad; Jayden and Joycelynn; great-grandchildren, Tiara, Tyana and Rashad, Jr.; siblings, Billy, Winfred, Ronnie (Rochelle), Carlton, Keith, Anthony, Matthew, Brian, Sharon, Diane, Beverly (Louis), Madelon and Cheryl; a host of special nieces, nephews and cousins; his beloved dog, Pete; friends Pastor Greg and Tim Andrews; special caregiver, Jamie. Preceding him in death was his parents; wife, Lou Anne Davis; sisters, Rose and Barbara Jean; Uncle Carl and Aunt Annie; cousins, Joe Mckittrick and David (Judy) Avery.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Assembly of Christians, 3619 W. Sterns Rd., Lambertville, MI. Funeral Services will begin in the church at Noon with Pastor Greg Withrow officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
