Georgia A. Minkowski

The heavens opened up and the Lord called home his beautiful angel, Georgia Ann Minkowski, 78, of Toledo and she gained her heavenly wings on July 26, 2018. The mother of six children who adored her, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend! Georgia was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and cards. Georgia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Sarvis; and the love of her life, James Sr.; sisters, Yvonne, Rosemary and Mary Jo; and her furry companion, Pepper. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Jr., Cindy, Cheryl (Alan), Betty Jane (Joe), Jeffrey (Nicole) and Darla (Russ); sisters, Edna (Mike), Darlene (Wayne) and Marlene; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and another on the way; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 710 Buckeye St., Toledo 43611 (Buckeye & Erie St.) with visitation from 10 – 11 at church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
