George Quaintance

George O. "Papa G" Quaintance, Jr., age 68, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by loving family. He was born on May 19, 1951 to George Sr. and Helen (Lake) Quaintance in Toledo, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving his country proudly. George retired from Home Depot after many years. He enjoyed woodworking, feeding the squirrels and watching Nascar. George was known as "Papa G" to many. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. George's smile, sense of humor and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Quaintance, Vicki McCance, and Ed Quaintance. George is survived by his loving daughters, Nikki (Mike) Strunk and Amber (Jerrod Steffensen) Pence; grandchildren, Logan (Justin), Cammie, Aubrey, and Owen; great-granddaughter, Ayva; siblings, Cheryl (Mike) McFeeters, Ron (Cindy) Quaintance, Lynndell (Ted) Szymanski and Charlene (David) Wood; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Per George's wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life to honor him will be held on May 18th, 2020. Details will be provided later and you can contact the family for more information. Newcomer – Southwest Chapel (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
