George A. "Cowboy" Hileman, Sr., age 66, of Toledo, passed away in his home on November 24, 2018, with his family by his side. He was born on December 1, 1951 to Charles Hileman and Virgina (Galliher) Wells in Mansfield, OH. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972 - 1978 during the Vietnam War. Throughout most of his life he was an over the road CDL truck driver. He truly loved driving truck, he was able to meet a lot of people, help a lot of folks along the way and see all of the United States. Most important to Cowboy was his son, he made sure his son was well provided for and taken care of. In his spare time he loved working on cars, watching Nascar and spending time and spoiling the grandkids.
Left to cherish his memory is his only son, George Jr.(Heather) Hileman; grandkids, Elizabeth, Dathan and Logan; siblings, Charles, Martha, Leroy, Michael, Teresa and Tracy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Harold "Jim" Wells; sister, Tamara and best friend, Ed Litvin.
The family will receive guests on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
