George M. Graham, a beloved figure known for his warmth, humor, and deep roots in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on February 11, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio and adopted by Watson and Beatrice Graham.
After graduating from Whitmer High School in 1964, George began a dedicated career at the Dupont Paint and Chemical Plant, where he worked for 28 years before retiring. George made good friends with his fellow co workers.
Family meant everything to George. He is survived by his sons, David Graham and his wife Amy, and Corey Graham and his wife Tracy. George took immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Chelsea Kujawski and her husband Adam, and Hayden Graham. His legacy extends further with two great-grandchildren, Belle and Micah Kujawski, who brought him great happiness.
George enjoyed the moments spent with his care team at the Franciscan Care Center, where he was known to share playful banter. A passionate sports fan, George was particularly fond of watching games featuring The Ohio State University and the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—sipping a beer, barbecuing, and cherishing time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his family, George is survived by his sister, Nancy Herzig, and her husband Paul.
George was a simple man, despite facing health challenges, including a stroke in 2004 that affected the use of his left leg and arm, George maintained a resilient spirit and continued to find joy in life’s moments. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
A gathering for George M. Graham will be held on April 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH, 43623.
George’s legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
