George F. Litten, Sr., age 77, of Vanlue, passed away Thursday September 29, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 3, 1938 to Arnold Litten and Violet Adkins. George retired as a Truck Driver after 30 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 20, where he was a Union Steward for a short time. George was a member of the Toledo/Sylvania Elks Lodge Local 53 since 2006. He had a love of racing that started when he was young which carried on in his family. George was a race mechanic, driver, team owner, and fan whose favorite was #12. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends. George will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Suzanne Litten; son, George F. Litten, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Paisley Litten; step-daughter, Kimberly Anne Quigg; brothers, Arnold Litten, Jr. and Bud Litten. George is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Casey Litten; children, Greg (Jill) Litten, Suzie (Jim) Greene, Jimmy (Birdie) Litten and Peggy (Geno) Lucio; step-children, Jeanette Guziolek, Jeff (Sandy) Cislo, Rick (Jean) Revoir and Anne (Keith) Holmes; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Litten; canine companion, Bailey Ann; and many other nieces, nephews, close family and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 5 – 8:00 at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Toledo/Sylvania Elks Lodge Local 53 Service conducted at 7:00 p.m. that evening, with visitation again on Tuesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
