Genevieve K. "Jean" Graeber, age 88, formerly of Toledo, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born December 18, 1919 to Stanley and Sophie Stokowski in Maple Heights, Ohio. Jean was an avid card player and Cleveland Indians fan. She loved to cook, but loved nothing more than taking care of and spending time with her family. Jean always looked for the best in everyone and will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Graeber and brothers, Stanley, Casey and Edward Stokowski. Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Joyce (Kenneth) Amborski; grandchildren: Reanna (T.J.), Joshua, Curtis (Rebecca) and Kendra; great-grandson: Dayton; special grandchildren: Jared, Billy, Mo, Darnell and Alex; sister: Lillian (Walter) Wojtala; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth and Joanne Stokowski; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Resurrection on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Officiating will be Fr. Ed Littelmann. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
