Geneva Lamke

Geneva "Genny" Lamke, age 82, joined our heavenly Father on August 29, 2008. She was born on the 4th of July, 1926 to Edgar and Flora Witty in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Genny enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, playing cards and cooking. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and her greats! She will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Genny is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Orvin Lamke, of Temperance, MI; children, Daniel (Gladys) Whitman, of Toledo, Sandra Caswell, of Ludington, MI and David (Carmen) Whitman, of Elkhart, IN; 9 grandchildren; 17 greats; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Fr. Joseph Keblesh, Jr. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
