Geneva L. Cully

Geneva L. Cully, age 90, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Sunset Village. She was born on July 12, 1932 to James and Bertha Bond in Robinson, Illinois. Geneva graduated from DeVilbiss High School. She enjoyed sewing, was an excellent baker and often made all occasion cakes for everyone. Geneva liked camping, music and traveling. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband Howard and they were members of the Toledo Dulcimer Club along with their best friends of 50+ years, Marge and John Henning. Geneva's pride and joy was her family, she loved nothing more than spending time with her children and all of her grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Howard Cully, who passed Nov. 5, 2022; and sisters, Marion Bandy and Doris Spade. Left to cherish Geneva's memory are her daughter, Deborah (Dan) Williams; son, Rick (Debbie) Cully; grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Elliott, Melissa (Rich) Faulkner, Alicia (Scott) Czarnik, Brent (Milisa) Cully, Daniel (Jennifer) Williams, and Jennifer Williams-Zender; great-grandchildren, Michael, Macen, Ava, Dylan, Elyse, Braylon, Brody, Alexis, Charlotte and Declan; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
