Gene Arnold Tandler

Gene Arnold Tandler, age 76, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1945, in Monroe, Michigan, to the late Muriel and Rita (Bomia) Tandler.
Gene graduated from Bedford High School, class of 1963, and furthered his education at The University of Toledo, graduating with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. With a passion for computers, he had worked at the University of Toledo Continuing Education. He was a member of the Academy of Model of Aeronautics Gene enjoyed playing computer games, like American Truck Simulator, collecting model cars, and camping. Gene liked to fly as a copilot with his son-in-law, where they would get breakfast together and watch airplanes all day. Family was number one in Gene's eyes; he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all he was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy (Smith) Tandler, whom he married, on November 13, 1965; children, Lisa (Christopher) Bryant and Aaron (Jill) Tandler; grandchildren, Matt Bryant, Ashley Bryant, Chelsea Tandler, and Ryan Tandler; great grandchildren, Preslie Hoover and Everleigh Bryant; sister, Muriel Boudrie; brother, David Tandler; and nieces, nephews, and other loved ones who will truly miss Gene.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Muriel and Rita Tandler.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
