Gene Patrick, age 84, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Harborside of Sylvania. He was born November 6, 1923 to Watt and Erin (Higgins) Patrick in Salyersville, Kentucky. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a salesman and buyer for the former Montgomery Wards and the former Lion Store Department Stores for many years, retiring in 1979.
In addition to his parents Gene was preceded in death by his son, Gene Darrel Patrick. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gertrude (Wuehr) Patrick; son, James Patrick of Culver, IN; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Martin D. Patrick of Knox, IN and sisters, Dorothy (Erwin) Empie of Lambertville, MI. and Norma (Kenneth) Wise of Georgia.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 1-5:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry S. Craig. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
