Gary Michael Wolfe, age 66, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born December 16, 1955 in Toledo to Robert and Winifred (Gleason) Wolfe, he was the youngest of seven. Gary grew up in East Toledo and attended Lake High School. He joined the military, serving his country proudly as a United States Marine. After he was honorably discharged from service, Gary worked with the US Postal Service in downtown Toledo for many years. He then moved to Michigan where he continued to raise his family. Gary married the love of his life, Julie on April 21, 2014, celebrating 8 wonderful years together.
Because of the love and respect Gary had for the military and his fellow service brothers, he took pride in volunteering at the VA in Ann Arbor and continued that support as long as he could. He enjoyed wrestling and football, attending his sons many sporting events throughout the years. Gary was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, cheering them on every chance he could.
He treasured the time spent with family, friends and his canine companions, making memories. There were many meals shared and if gravy or bacon were on the menu ... Gary was there. He also looked forward to being outside, enjoying his surroundings, tending to his garden and working on his woodworking projects.
In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his grandson, Archer Wolfe; several siblings; fur baby and best friend, "Shelly". Gary is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Julie (Burchett) Wolfe; children, Gary (Kerry) Wolfe, Jr, Tiffany (Bryan) Bruce, Brett Wolfe and his mother, Jackie Wolfe, Sarah (Charles) Schwartz and Abigail (Jason) Black; grandchildren, Riley, Gavin, Brandon and Lexi Wolfe, Peyton Ruddell, Madison Williams, Annabelle Wolfe, Stryker, Avalyn and Willow Black and Charlie Schwartz; brother, David Sr. (Florine) Wolfe and fur babies, Rudy, Kelly and Patches.
