Gary Dale Mcallister

Gary Dale McAllister, age 67, of Toledo, passed away November 7, 2023 at The Toledo Hospital. Gary was born July 19, 1956 in Toledo to George and Billie McAllister. He was a 1974 graduate of Macomber High School. He met and married the love of his life, Barbara (Roth) on January 12, 1985. Gary was employed with City Auto Stamping for 20 years before joining the Unit 19 Security Department at Toledo Hospital, where he worked for another 19 years. His family was deeply important to him, and he enjoyed spending his time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the movies and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George McAllister and Billie Leaper; and his faithful four-legged companion, Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Allen McAllister; children, Kyle (Lauren) McAllister, Brian (Nicole) McAllister, R.H. (Rachel) McAllister, and Emily Gibbs; grandchildren, Kaedyn, Irelynd, Kyllian, Savanna, Mason, Colton, Raylee, Edward, and Emma Rose; brother, David (Beth) McAllister; step-father, Corky Leaper; and puppy dog, Bo.

The family will receive guests on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo. Per Gary's requests, all guests are asked to wear their favorite OSU gear to visitation.
