Gary J. Andrejan, age 63 passed away Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 at The University of Toledo Medical Center. On December 5th, 1946 he was born to Leo and Irene (Bagrowski) Andrejan in Toledo, Ohio.
Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Upon returning from the military, he met and married Vickie Lowry, the love of his life. They were soon to celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary next month. Together they raised three wonderful children. Gary was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He took pride in his yard and garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He mastered the grill at family cookouts and can never be replaced. "Although no one will be able to perfect it the way you did, your traditional holiday kielbasa will continue." He held on to the dream of someday winning the lottery. "Don't worry Dad, we'll keep playing your numbers!" Gary was looking forward to retiring from Champion Spark Plug after 38 yrs. of employment. His wife cherished him, his children looked up to him and his grandchildren adored him. He was and always will be their hero. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie (Lowry); children, Dawn (Glen) Poling, Shannon (Dave) Brill, Chris (Molly) Andrejan; 10 grandchildren and brother, Bill (Candy) Andrejan.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Lauman. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
