Gary Cook

Gary A. Cook, age 57, passed away Sunday, April 25th, 2010 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born May 12th, 1952 to Owen and Erma (Heslet) Cook. Gary served in the Army during the Vietnam era conflict, where he was stationed in Germany. He returned to Toledo where he was a heavy equipment operator with the Local 18 for 37 years. Gary retired in 2009 due to his disability with cancer. His most recent job was working for Ken Socie (Wohlleb-Socie), but Gary also worked with several prominent contractors through the years.

Gary will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Deb (Latimore) Cook; son, Brent (Sharon) Cook and grandchildren, Clay, Owen and twins, Allison and Aubrey Cook. He is also survived by Deb's children, Karen (Joe) Cody, Nate and Emily Cody, Eric (Dana) Toth, Daniel, Ryan and Alexa Toth; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Ronald L. Cook.

The family will receive guests, Wednesday from 3-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
