Garald M. Bolfa, Sr., 59, was called home to his Lord and Savior on June 6th, 2011. He was born on February 13th, 1952 to the late Clara (Miller) and Frank Bolfa.
Gary retired from Jeep after 28 years of service as a Supervisor and Production Operator. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Gary enjoyed hunting with his brother, Randy in Pioneer, Ohio. He also loved to go fishing in the Toussaint River, Crane Creek, and Lake Erie with his family and friends. Gary was an avid "animal collector."
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Thomas and Jimmy Bolfa. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara; children, Tammy (Chris) Dlugoleski, John (Debbie) Szempias, Garald (Christine) Bolfa, Jr., Chris (Michelle) Szempias, Corissa Bolfa, Anthony Bolfa; siblings, Randy Bolfa, Dennis Bolfa, David Bolfa, Darell Bolfa, Daniel Bolfa, Mark Bolfa; grandchildren, Daryl, JC, Tiara, Nicholas, Breana, Joshua and Zachary; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300). Sharing of Memories will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, Oregon. The family will receive guests for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Father Mike Ricker officiating.
