Frieda Fitzpatrick

Frieda R. Fitzpatrick, age 87, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 21, 1924 to George and Linda (Baird) Sharp in Elk Valley, Tennessee. Frieda was a lifetime member of Shelton Park Church of God, Mountain Assembly. She was an excellent cook and loved doing a variety of crafts. Frieda loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William Fitzpatrick, brothers, Ray, Howard and John Sharp and sisters, Wilma Lynch, Maude Silcox and Imogene Sharp. Frieda is survived by her loving daughter, Norma Lee (Glenn) McCoy; grandchildren, Tonya (Joe) Scherf and Tammie (Aaron) Mast; and great-grandchildren, Alec, Zach, Noah, Sam and Leah.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Park Church of God, 8702 Douglas Rd., Temperance, MI 48182, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
