Frederick Ryan

Frederick "Fred" Ryan, age 78, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at home with his loving significant other by his side. He was born on June 27, 1944 to Benjamin and Emma (Phelps) Ryan in Reading, Michigan. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Tool & Die maker for many years before retiring. Fred was an avid Harley rider and enjoyed taking day trips around. He loved dancing, country music and his cowboy boots. Fred could always be found tinkering around in his garage. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Ryan. Left to cherish Fred's memory are his loving significant other, Roswitha "Rose" Heise; children, Nick Ryan and Noah Ryan; siblings, Janice Alspaugh, Deb Brenner, Ron Ryan, Dennis Ryan and Doug Ryan; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
