Frederick D. Pile

Frederick D. Pile, age 82, of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 23, 2024. He was born July 28, 1941 in Toledo, OH to Donald and Erma (Schwab) Pile. Fred and wife Marcia Blochowski enjoyed a happy marriage for 60 years. He worked for General Motors for 38 years, retired in 2000. Fred enjoyed polka dancing, bowling, playing cards with friends, and spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan supporting the Toledo Walleye, Detroit Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents, Fred was also preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn LaPlante. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marcia Pile; loyal children Lisa (William) Ronzi, Kevin Pile and Lori (Paul Eddleston) Pile; treasured grandchildren, Michael (Brittni) Pile, Christina Ronzi, Andrew Pile, and great grandson, Liam.

The family will receive guests Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 am. at the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 West Broadway, Maumee, OH. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee in Fred's memory.
