Frederick Koch

Frederick John Koch, age 95, formerly of Walbridge and Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 25th, 2005 in Swan Creek Health Care Center where he resided. Fred was born May 12, 1910 to Frank and Clara (Montgomery) Koch in Walbridge. He was a WWII U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in Alaska from 1942-45. Fred was a member of Conn Weissenberger American Legion Post #587 and the Masons. He was employed with C&O Railroad for 55 years, retiring in 1966.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Pfaff; brother, Raymond Koch and sisters, Helen Flagg and Arneta Bebout. He is survived by his sister, Glenna Mae (Kenneth) Ochs of Lambertville, MI and many dear friends.

The family will recieve guests Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Military Services will begin Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
