Frederick G. Betz, Sr.

Frederick G. "Fred" Betz, Sr., age 79, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare - Point Place Center. He was born on July 8, 1939 to Karl Sr. and Esther (Strall) Betz in Toledo. Fred was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and for most of his life he was a well known mechanic in the area, having owned several local garages in Toledo. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, car racing, model cars and camping.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Evelyn Durell, Frederick G. "Fred" Jr. (Cynthia) Betz, Deanna (Daren) Anderson, Lanée (Eirik) Tillman and Cassie Betz; grandchildren, Rachel, Justin, Steven, Justine, Charles, Travis, Hunter and Gage; two great-granddaughters, Syndey and Kylie; siblings, Karl Jr. (Sharon) Betz and Margaret (Bill) Grochowalski. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber and great-grandson, Jorgie.

A Celebration of Fred's Life will be announced at a later date for family and close friends.
