Fred Wilmoth, age 85 of Toledo passed away Thursday, June 9th, 2005 at Lake Park Care Center. He was born March 16th, 1920 to Luther and Ida (Green) Wilmoth in Algood, Tennessee. He was employed with Teledyne for 38 years retiring in 1985. He showed his love and devotion to Christ by being a valued and longtime member of Faith Baptist Church and the treasurer for many years.

Fred was an avid sports fan, favoring the Detroit Tigers. Early in life Fred played for an Industrial softball team and later for the church softball team, playing well into his 60's. He enjoyed playing pool with family and friends and was a great competitor. Fred had a quiet and gentle nature, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; cherishing his family.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 6 brothers and son-in-law Ray Green. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Grace G. (Mayberry) Wilmoth, children, Nancy Green of Jacksonville FL; Gary (Lou Ann) Wilmoth of Toledo, OH; Elizabeth (Tim) Crosby of Temperance, MI; grandchildren, Jeremy Scott (June) Green of Tifton, GA ; Amy Green of Charlotte, NC; and Garrett and Ryan M. Wilmoth of Toledo, OH; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Monday from 12-1:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 6245 Whiteford Center Rd, Lambertville. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastors Wesley Blood and Ed Young. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church. Special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Lake Park Care Center.
