Fred H. Buno

A cherished husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, Fred Buno was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Talisay, Batangas, Philippines on November 22, 1960, Fred immigrated to the United States with his siblings, embracing a new life full of faith, family, and opportunity where he met his wife, beginning a family of his own.

Fred was an avid golfer belonging to the Florida Asian Golf Association and Mid-Florida Amateur Golfer Association who also loved fishing and crabbing. He often brought his sons along with him to share in these hobbies creating lifelong memories throughout their time together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marianito and Maria Buno along with his brother, Ruperto Buno and sister, Flor (Lito) Mendoza. Left to carry on his memory are his wife, Mayla N. Buno and three sons, Justine, Jake, and Jacob; siblings, Lita (Reynaldo) Zambrano, Nene (Romeo) Flores, Rolando (Ging), Eladio (Ligaya), Digno (Melissa), Peter (Lottie); sister-in-law, Ammie Buno; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614. Scripture service to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Fred's loving spirit will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing he is now resting in the arms of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.
