Fred Aldridge

Fred Aldridge, age 90, of Toledo, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1918 to Charlie and Cora (Price) Aldridge in Wynn, Arkansas. Fred was employed with the Pepsi Cola Company for over 25 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Teamsters #44. Fred also loved working in his rose garden.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife Mamie (Brooks) Aldridge in 1975 and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Claudette (John) Bracey of Columbus, OH and Kim Aldridge of Toledo; grandchildren, Amanda, Jason and Aaron; and brother, Artis (Cecile) Aldridge, of Flint, MI; and a host of other relatives.
The family will receive guests Monday from 12 – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Graveside Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Cemetery.
