Franklin Schermerhorn, age 83, of Toledo, entered eternal life with Jesus, Friday, March 13, 2009 surrounded by his loving family and joined his wife Iona, his parents and all his brothers and sisters in heaven.
Frank is survived by his loving daughter, Nancy (Isaac) Powell; grandchildren, Trixie (William) Mann, Franklin and Valerie Probert; 9 great-grandchildren; and many special loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 W. Central Ave., Toledo. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Lake Park Promedica Hospice for all of their loving care and support given to Frank and his family through this difficult time.
