Franklin C. Wallace, Jr. 50, of Toledo, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Flower Hospital. He was born September 6, 1957 to Franklin C. and Donna Mae (Mohr) Wallace in Toledo. Buddy was employed with Good Year for many years before working with the University of Toledo. He was also the owner and operator of RobWall Diversified for several years. Buddy was a loving and devoted grandfather known as "Papa Buddy" to his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with family and friends. Buddy will be remembered for his ability to "look for the silver lining" in any situation and putting others needs first. He instilled in his children the importance of "family" with the Sunday "White Trash" gatherings, where everyone was invited to share the day and the memories. Buddy knew his mind and was known to make his point to anyone who would listen. His family will cherish his strength of character and the love he had for each of them.
In addition to his parents, Franklin Wallace and Donna Jolly, Buddy was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Freedom Lynn and brother, William A. Wallace. He is survived by his children, Frank ; Rachel; Michael; Rebecca and Nicole; stepson, Salvador "Pooky"; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Rosemarie (Edward) Huddy; Edward Wallace; Robin Trembach; Roberta (William) Meyers; John Wallace and Renea (Darrin) Hayes; many nieces and nephews; fiance, Shelia Ruiz and many dear and special friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
The family will receive guests Tuesday 2-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
